Terms of Service

These terms govern your purchase and use of Stillpoint CRM from JAK Solutions. Buying a licence or installing the plugin means you accept them.

This page is a plain-language summary of our current terms and is not legal advice.

Last updated: August 2026

1. Licence grant

Subject to an active subscription and these terms, JAK Solutions grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Stillpoint CRM on the number of WordPress sites included in your tier, for your own business purposes or those of clients whose sites you administer.

2. Tiers and site limits

  • Starter — activation on 1 production site.
  • Pro — activation on up to 5 production sites, including the WooCommerce/ecommerce suite.
  • Agency — activation on up to 20 production sites.

Activations are tracked per site URL through Freemius. You may deactivate a site to free an activation slot, for example when migrating hosting or retiring a client site. Staging and local development copies of a licensed production site are permitted and we ask that you keep them non-public.

3. Prohibited use

You may not:

  • resell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercialise the plugin or any licence key;
  • sublicense the software or share a licence key with parties outside your business;
  • redistribute or publish the source code, in whole or in part, publicly or privately, including in public repositories or plugin marketplaces;
  • remove, obscure or circumvent licensing, activation, update or attribution mechanisms;
  • use the software unlawfully, or to send unsolicited bulk email in breach of law.

Stillpoint CRM is proprietary software. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of it or of any intellectual property in it. See the EULA for the licence terms covering the software itself.

4. Updates and support

While your subscription is active you receive plugin updates — delivered automatically to your WordPress plugins screen — and support by email. Standard support applies to Starter; priority support applies to Pro and Agency. Support covers the plugin's own functionality; it does not include general WordPress administration, third-party plugin conflicts we cannot reproduce, server configuration, or custom development, though we will always point you in the right direction where we can.

5. Expiry, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your Freemius customer portal or by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

If a subscription lapses, we apply a soft gate, never a lockout. The core CRM keeps working on your existing data, and your data remains fully accessible and exportable. What pauses is: premium and ecommerce (WooCommerce) features, automatic updates, and support entitlement. Renewing restores all of it.

6. Payments and taxes

Freemius is our merchant of record. Prices are shown in US dollars and may exclude taxes such as VAT or sales tax, which Freemius calculates and collects where applicable. Refunds are governed by our refund policy.

7. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for your WordPress installation, its hosting, security, backups, and for meeting the minimum requirements (WordPress 5.8+ and PHP 8.0+). Because Stillpoint is self-hosted, you are also responsible for the lawfulness of the customer data you store in it and for your own obligations as its data controller.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The software is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will be compatible with every theme, plugin or hosting environment. Nothing here excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JAK Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business or lost or corrupted data, arising out of or relating to the software. Our total aggregate liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the twelve months preceding the claim. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your WordPress database.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms, in particular the prohibited-use provisions. On termination for breach you must stop using the software and remove it from your sites; your data remains yours and exportable.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. [Placeholder — specific jurisdiction, forum and dispute-resolution wording to be confirmed by our attorney.]

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above and apply from the next renewal. Questions? Use the contact page.
